A Great Lady

I had the wonderful pleasure of having Dr. Peggy Heller as Director of the Foundation Year Programme during my passage through the core texts of King’s. Peggy was a wonderful woman who taught us not just appreciation of these texts, but integration, encouraging us to make them a part of ourselves, like she had. I will always remember Peggy’s grace when she orversaw my oral examination at the end of my year of FYP and as nervous as I was, I knew she believed in me and that feeling helped me through tricky questions and (sometimes luck) right answers.

Dear Peggy, “You were a poet, mentor, and passionate teacher. In memory of your life we will speak, we will write, we will dance.”

I am honoured to have met and known you.
